Nottingham Trent Knitwear Fashion Show

Nottingham Trent Fashion Show

Photography by Rachel Kaliisa

I had the privilege of attending Nottingham Trent's knitwear exhibitions last week and it was absolutely amazing. I saw some of the most amazing pieces of knitwear that belonged in a high fashion magazine. The best bit about it was, it had all been designed by students.  Nottingham trent has a Fashion knitwear course that runs a fashion show at the end of every year. I have never been to any of the shows before, but I must say I was thoroughly impressed. My Uni had a fashion society that held fashion shows and when i look at the pictures, I believe Nottingham Trent really out did the Nottingham Uni shows by far.
I wasn't initially interested in attending because I was unsure about what would take place and i was slightly apprehensive about it as it was being conducted by students but the show was absolutely amazing, it was professional, classy and of a high standard. If you are ever around the Nottingham area Next year May, definitely check it out.

Is anyone going to any fashion shows this summer that I should know about???

Let me know, we can all go along together ;)

Out and About

Had lunch with my wonderful BF the other day, we went for a meal at a Brazilian place called Tropeiro you can check out the menu I'll place the link below... I absolutely loved it. They have an inside BBQ, they have salads and rice and pasta and veg and everything to accompany your grilled/ BBQ meats. We then decided to run around town going camera crazy and taking pictures. We have decided to do something every weekend, something fun, something different, I need some new ideas for this coming weekend, anyone care to help me??? lol. I may post the video of me being really silly... Watch this space :p

Do you have any plans for this week and what are they?

Summer fashion... My summer shoes

Brogues- New Look
    Sandals- Topshop
    Ballet pumps-Primark

Hi guys, so I'm having a little problem with my New York photos, they're all jumbled up and they are at my BFs house. So I will be updating you about the rest of my journey, my meeting with 4 Aces bloggers Kaven and Abbey and I will be blogging about my 2 year anniversary in Times Square. For now, I'll leave you with my shoe essentials at the moment. I have a few more shoes to show you, but I thought I'd stick to three for today.

I am soooooo in love with my new brogues up top. I saw them a while back in New Look (and basically everywhere that sells shoes) and I thought, I need a pair of hose. They happened to be on sale so I just bought them straight away. I just had to have them, especially as on a day to day basis, I like to rock the more androgynous look. I don't think these are a pair of shoes you can wear everyday as they are a bright pink so they're more of a statement accessory. You could make them a casual shoe but why would you want to? They're just so pretty and pink and fun, they need to be worn from time to time but not worn out.

The second pair are one of my faves. The Topshop sandal I bought about a year ago. They have lasted me a while now and I still love them. They look soo good with navy blues and blacks, whites and other pair colours like cream and stony colours. I just love them. I have a picture of me wearing them, about a year ago and I'll place the link below so you can check them out with an actual outfit. They are great for summery looks but not particularly great for long walks as they are plastic, they begin to rub on your little toe a bit, but they're fun to wear none the less:

This last pair are just essentials. To be honest, I bought then as a pair of disposable work shoes when I forgot my shoes at home one day but ever since, I've just loved the hoes to bits, they go with practically everything. I know I will be buying a whoooole lot more of little ballet pumps this summer. They're great for this British weather that decides to change when it wants. These shoes are my die hard shoes, even though they are from Primark lol.
